October 12, 2025 – Sudbury, Mass. – After the continued success of previous events, a group of parents—working in partnership with the Town of Sudbury’s Commission on Disability will once again bring together community groups and local businesses to offer an inclusive, allergy-friendly Halloween experience for children of all abilities. The event is open to all neighboring communities.
The Accessible Trick-or-Treat will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Meadowbrook Circle and Meadowbrook Road. All are welcome. No registration is required.
To ensure accessibility, trick-or-treat stations will be set up at the end of each driveway and kept free of obstacles or barriers. Stations will be well-lit, and participants are encouraged to bring flashlights.
Decorations will not include strobe lights or sudden loud, high-pitched noises. Pets will be kept away from the front of participating homes. Each station will offer separate bowls for: 1) nut free edible treats 2) small toys for an allergy-friendly, non-food option.
This is the third annual event, with more than 200 trick-or-treaters attending in 2024 alone. To learn more about Sudbury’s Accessible Trick-or-Treat, please visit: www.accessibletrickortreat.com
“We, the Commission on Disability, are thrilled to be hosting this event for the third year! Halloween can be a challenging time for families with disabilities—there are physical barriers, food allergies, sensory sensitivities with costumes, and more. At our event, we aim to remove these obstacles so families can simply come and enjoy the Halloween fun!”

Voices from the Community
An attendee from a previous year shared:
“My family came to your event tonight for the first time and I had to email right away to share that it was absolutely wonderful! My twins had such a great time and everyone was so friendly and sweet. I am in awe of what your community offered and I want to make sure everyone involved knows just how much of an impact they had on neurodivergent families like mine.”
Residents of the Meadowbrook neighborhood and volunteers from 2024 also shared their thoughts:
“Just wanted to pass along congratulations for producing such a wonderful trick-or-treat event last evening. That had to be a record for the number of kids trick-or-treating. The work you did to generate that kind of participation had to be immense. Can’t wait for next year. We are going to need to step up our game for decorating our yard again. You put smiles on a bunch of kids and parents.”
