SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 3:00—4:00 PM
Community Room, Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA, 01776
There are many types of families: big families, small families, young families, old families… families are not one size fits all. Join us on Sunday, June 1 from 3-4 p.m. at the Goodnow Library for our fourth discussion in the “Should This Book Be in School?” series. We will discuss The Great Big Book of Families by Mary Hoffman, a book that recently sparked controversy in the Los Angeles public schools. We will read the book together and discuss whether you would want your family to read this book in school. Bring your own copy if you wish or share ours.
Discussion facilitated by Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice. This group is for adults (18+). Join us as we dig deep into books that have been challenged in America’s schools. We’ll read and discuss one book (or group of short books) each season.
Registration is required. If you are registering for more than one participant, we ask that you register each participant individually.
Session full? Join the waitlist! We’ll add another session if there is sufficient interest.
