Ash Wednesday Evening Service – Bach Cantata and Soloists – Feb 18th, 7:30pm

The Ash Wednesday evening service at St. John Lutheran Church will include Bach’s deeply moving Cantata BWV 12 Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen and Frank Ticheli’s meditative Earthsong, sung by our small choir supported by guest soloists from Boston: Sydney Pexton, Darby Clinard, Sam De Soto, and Nathan Halbur. These beautiful compositions help us enter into Lent, a season of repentance and amendment of life.The service starts at 7:30pm, but you will want to arrive early to hear the prelude.
