Our weather here in Sudbury continues with rainfall challenges for 2026. We have not had one month where we exceeded 4 inches of rain, which would typically be the norm. June ended with 2.33 inches largely driven by just two rain events later in the month. Year to date values and prior year comparisons are noted below:
2026 Thru June: 14.98 inches
2025 Thru June: 21.82 inches
2024 Thru June: 29.13 inches
2023 Thru June: 24.09 inches
What can we expect for July/August?
2025 July/August: 4.68/1.24 inches
2024 July/August: 2.57/3.91inches
2023 July/August: 8.94/10.54 inches
As you can see summer months can be quite variable. Now we move on to the heat with very dry landscapes. June had a high of 94 degrees and we did have 8 days of 90 or more. Looks like we start July with maybe some days at 100 or more! Stay cool and happy 4th of July.
