Finally our July weather for Sudbury yielded our wettest month of the year with 6.45 inches of rain. Our neighbors to our west had much more but this did help alleviate some of our yearly rainfall deficit. What is interesting is that 5.99 inches of rain fell in just 3 storms. So it did not rain on many days but rained a lot on just a few days with 3.02 inches, 1.25 inches and just recently 1.72 inches.
We had 5 days of temps at 90 degrees or more but all this occurred before July 10th. For the summer we are at 15 days of 90 or more. Year to date rainfall is now as follows:
Year to Date 2026: 21.43 inches
Year to Date 2025: 26.50 inches
Year to Date 2024: 31.70 inches
Year to Date 2023: 33.03 inches
Rainfall values in August can vary greatly. In 2023 we had 10.54 inches of rain and in contrast only 1.24 inches last August. August starts with fairly normal summer warm and humid conditions, so enjoy.
