We have many volunteer boards and committees who, day in and day out, are contributing to the complex work of running our town. They have many other responsibilities in their lives including paid work and family responsibilities, and yet they choose to give of their limited time and energy to support and sustain our community.
The mission of these volunteers ranges in scope from planning community celebrations to increasing transportation options, from emergency preparedness to recreation, from affordable housing to free and fair elections, from conservation of our wild spaces to increasing belonging in our community spaces, from aging gracefully to preserving our aging historic sites and town story, from education and enrichment to serving our veterans – and more. Each of these boards and committees and the volunteers who serve on them plays a vital role in making Sudbury a better place to live.
A complete list of boards and committees can be found on the Town website at sudbury.ma.us by clicking on “Committees” at the top. There are more than 40 committees currently listed, most with between 3 and 7 members. That’s a lot of volunteers!
I hope that each and every volunteer knows that their time and commitment to Sudbury is noticed, valued, and appreciated. My family and I truly appreciate your dedication and service to Sudbury. Sudbury runs because of volunteers like you.
