On Wednesday, September 30 from 6:30-8:30 PM, the library, in partnership with Reconnect Sudbury, will host a special screening of the Emmy nominated documentary Join or Die which is a film about why you should join a club – and why the fate of America depends on it. The film shares the work of Harvard professor Robert Putnam, whose legendary “Bowling Alone” research into declining community engagement in America highlights the critical importance of social connection. A brief discussion will follow the screening.
