The Goodnow Library Foundation (GLF) will host its annual gala fundraiser, “Gather for Goodnow,” on Friday, October 16 from 5:30-8:30pm at the Goodnow Library. Tickets are now on sale for this special event which raises funds for the GLF Annual Fund.
The GLF Annual Fund provides important library resources like equipment in the Sara Sherman NOW Lab including 3-D printers, photo scanners, and supplies for popular craft classes; programming for all ages including life-skills classes for tweens and teens and the upcoming special screening of Join or Die; new furniture for active spaces like the Children’s Room and Teen Area; the popular Museum Pass Program for free or reduced admission at area attractions; and funding to expand access to digital collections like e-books and e-audiobooks.
This special event offers an opportunity to enjoy the Goodnow Library “after hours” with fantastic hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a cash bar, live music, and friends who love our excellent library and support the GLF’s mission to fund improvements and programs at the Goodnow Library. This year’s event also features guest portrait artist Talia Connelly. Connelly has developed a following for her fun and fast watercolors of friends enjoying the Boston Public Garden. We’re excited to have her with us to capture the Sudbury community in extravagant watercolors!
