Thank you to the Sudbury community, who put the “unity” in “community” to make trick or treating a treat—for EVERY body. Accessible Trick or Treat was truly magical.
Dinosaurs, princesses, and “The Grannies” from Bluey enjoyed rolling and strolling from table to table, gathering toys and allergy-friendly edible treats. The only phrase more common than “trick or treat” was “thank you.” The most common accessory was a smile.
I want to acknowledge the Meadowbrook neighborhood for welcoming the event with open arms; the sponsors for making the event financially possible; the many homeowners and organizations who hosted yard signs to advertise the event; the Sudbury Commission on Disability and all the volunteers who took on preparation tasks and helped out on Halloween; and the families who attended with joy and gratitude. This event would not have been possible without you.
Thank you for making Halloween a true community event. It was the best Halloween yet.
