In Monday’s annual town election, Daniel Carty and Janie Dretler were re-elected to the Select Board in a contested race for the two seats.
Mary Stephens and Karyn Jones were elected for the first time to the Sudbury School Committee (SPS, grades preK-8) in the other contested race.
There were 3,322 votes cast, representing 25% of the town’s 13,420 registered voters.
In unofficial results Monday night, Carty received 2,047 votes to lead the Select Board race. Dretler received 1,995 votes, and Eric Poch, currently co-chair of the Finance Committee, received 1,407 votes.
In the school committee race, Stephens received 2,290 votes, Jones received 2,223 votes, and Richard Thalmann received 1,018 votes. All three were first-time candidates.

In the uncontested race for Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee, Catherine Bitter received 3,334 votes–2,100 in the Sudbury election and 1,234 in the Lincoln election. Maura Carty received 3,083 votes—2,257 in Sudbury and 826 in Lincoln.
