I am delighted to offer an enthusiastic endorsement for both Lisa Kouchakdjian and Radha Gargeya for the Select Board. Many readers of Sudbury Weekly know Lisa well – and appreciate her dedication, values, enthusiasm, and ability to effectively take on a wide variety of issues that come before the Select Board. Clearly, our town is in good hands with her leadership.
Radha Gargeya is perhaps less familiar to many people in Sudbury. As a long-time resident, I’ve had ample opportunity to see how he has contributed to our town, with a commitment to transparency, evidence-based decision making , and an inclusive approach to discussion and resolving problems. These are values that are especially important now, as we enter an era of greater uncertainty about funding and programs.
On the Lincoln Sudbury Regional School Committee, Radha was always well-prepared for discussions, consistently focused on the most important issues that the Committee needed to address. He spearheaded several innovations, including high-speed connectivity throughout the L-S campus and a solar canopy that continues to generate significant benefits for the community. He has consistently encouraged and listened to diverse opinions, creating an opportunity for an open and respectful dialogue, and help people move to a consensus decision.
Radha understands what makes Sudbury a great place to live and raise children – our unique environment, great schools, and a diverse and welcoming community. He has the financial and leadership skills to lead us forward, ensuring that our town will continue to be a great place to live in the future. He will help us improve long-term fiscal planning, support for our business community, access to green spaces, and opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors. His track record and past actions speak for themselves – and therefore I am confident that he will serve our community well in this role.
