Join members of the Sudbury Garden Club to learn more about the Boston Area Gleaners, a regional food systems organization working at the intersection of farming, food waste and food security. Their mission is to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables across our communities while supporting our region’s farms and reducing systemic food waste. Jalila Waller will share more about the organization’s mission, background, programs and volunteer opportunities.
Jalila is the Communications & Outreach Coordinator for the Boston Area Gleaners and has been with the organization since August 2024. She graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in communications and loves sharing the Gleaners’ mission and story with audiences and working toward a more equitable local food system for all.
