Ronni Joan Feder, 81, of Sudbury, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Born on September 29, 1944, Ronni grew up in New York City, where her exceptional musical talent shone early. As a child, she studied piano at The Juilliard School and attended Manhattan’s High School of Music & Art. She continued her piano studies at Oberlin College before pursuing English literature at NYU, ultimately earning her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
A deeply dedicated educator, Ronni began her career teaching elementary school in the New York City public school system, maintaining lifelong connections with several of her very first students. She went on to spend 33 impactful years teaching within the Sudbury Public Schools in Massachusetts, the community where she and her husband resided for 53 years. In retirement, Ronni combined her love for teaching and culture as a volunteer educator at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston. She delighted in leading elementary school children on engaging tours, especially through the Egyptian galleries.

In the summer of 1963, Ronni met her beloved husband, Lewis, then a medical student and graduate of Princeton University. Married on June 27, 1965, they shared a beautiful 61-year marriage filled with mutual passions. Together, they were devoted supporters of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, avid theatergoers, and enthusiastic travelers who explored museums worldwide.
Beyond her professional and volunteer life, Ronni was a lifelong lover of the arts who found great joy in reading, planning future travels, and socializing with friends. Above all, she cherished visiting her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, teacher, and friend whose warmth and intellect enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Ronni is survived by her husband, Lewis Feder; daughters, Emily Malley (Gregory) of Seattle, WA; and Dana Feder (Laura Robinson) of Snoqualmie, WA; and her cherished grandchildren, Lily and Jack Malley.
