Well the groundhog did say 6 more weeks of winter. Sure felt this way. Sudbury weather for February 2025 had 16 inches of snow whereas February 2024 has a mere 1.5 inches. So year to date Snowfall this year is now at 25.5 inches and last year 18.5 inches. Although the 2024 YTD Snowfall at 18.5 inches is a little deceiving as 10 inches fell in just one storm. Rain and water equivalent for 2025 is at 6.09 inches, a bit subpar, whereas 2024 rain and water equivalent was 8.66 inches. A few more stats of interest are noted below:

Number of days for 2025 at freezing or below: 31 days.
Number of days for 2024 at freezing or below: 12 days.
Maximum Temp for February 2025: 52
Maximum Temp for February 2024: 61
Minimum Temp for February 2025: 3
Minimum Temp for February 2024: 16

Although we had somewhat more snow this year the main theme is that it has been noticeably and consistently colder. Hence the snow that fell has hung around awhile. BTW, no measurable snow fell last March. Spring anyone?
