Curious about what an all-girls Scouting America troop experience looks like? Families in Sudbury and surrounding towns are invited to join Troop 65 for our Spring Open House on Thursday, April 2. We welcome youth in Grade 5 and up who are interested in outdoor adventure, leadership, and being part of an inclusive, supportive group.
Where: Hawes Hall, Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Rd, Sudbury
When: Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 pm
This is an active, engaging evening where girls can experience the fun and energy of a youth-led troop. Prospective scouts will:
- Meet members of Troop 65 and see what a real troop meeting is like
- Try hands-on outdoor and teamwork activities
- Learn about the adventures we take — camping, hiking, cabin weekends, summer camp, service projects, and more
Parents and caregivers are invited to stay for an open session with troop leaders to hear how Scouting America works at the troop level, how girls grow in leadership and confidence, and how advancement and merit badges fit into the program. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and learn more about what makes Troop 65 unique.
This event is especially helpful for families with students currently in 5th–7th grade, though any girl in Grade 5 or older is welcome. We hope to see you there!
