The preliminary FY25 budget for Lincoln-Sudbury was presented on Tuesday night at the L-S School Committee meeting. (0:05:45) There were no big surprises. The guidance they received was slightly higher than their request, though they’re being cautious with their initial request because of rising health insurance costs, and to mitigate a “fiscal cliff” went debt comes off the books in FY26. Lincoln-Sudbury’s Director of Finance very concisely and clearly explains their budget strategy during the presentation. (0:17:40)
During their meeting the committee had a few questions, but no major concerns. The administration reported that the assessments to Lincoln and Sudbury were continuing the trend of a modest shift towards Lincoln based on enrollment data.
