After eight years at the helm of Sudbury Public Schools (SPS), Superintendent Brad Crozier has announced he will conclude his service to the district at the end of the current school year.
The announcement was released to SPS staff and families this week as a “mutually agreed upon statement” between the Superintendent and the Sudbury School Committee.
In the message, sent out by email on Monday April 13, Crozier reflected on his tenure and expressed his ongoing dedication to the district through the upcoming transition period.
“I am deeply proud of the work we have accomplished together,” Crozier stated. “I remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition and wish the district continued success in the years ahead.”
Crozier noted that, during his eight-year tenure, the district navigated periods of both progress and significant challenge. According to the statement, Crozier’s administration successfully spearheaded several key district improvements ranging from curriculum updates to capital improvements.
Crozier took the opportunity to express his appreciation for those who supported him during his time in Sudbury Public Schools.
“I am especially grateful for the dedication of our educators, staff, and leadership team, as well as the support of families and community members,” he said. “It has been an honor to serve this district.”
The School Committee has not yet announced a timeline for the search for Crozier’s successor but noted in the statement that further details regarding the leadership transition will be shared with the public as information becomes available.
