Liberty Ledge / Sewataro Advisory Committee is taking a look at the Liberty Ledge property Sudbury purchased in 2019. We will gather information and ideas and submit a report to the Selector Board in October.
For the last six years Camp Sewataro has been thriving there. The public has had access to the property during off-camp times for walking, playing tennis, fishing in the pond, some swimming, etc. The camp operator has facilitated use of some of the facilities by several community groups like Scouts, Hope Sudbury, a music education group, and many others. The camp operator has hosted a fall and spring event each year, too.
We are asking what the people of Sudbury would like to see as the long term future for this inviting, natural spot. The park-like land has amenities like pavilions, buildings, water features, paved and unpaved roads, sport courts, and trees. Lots of trees and lots of land.
Sudbury decided to invest in this property in 2019, and now that Liberty Ledge and Camp Sewataro have shown some of what they can offer, do you see even more possibilities?
On Wednesday, the Liberty Ledge Advisory Committee is asking for your ideas, your vision for how this place can best be used for the benefit of the whole community – now and for the future. Please attend in-person or virtually. If unable to do either, please submit your ideas to [email protected].
