The Sudbury Public Schools (SPS) School Committee announced, on May 18, that Annette Doyle accepted the position of Interim Superintendent of Sudbury Public Schools for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year.
Doyle, who currently serves as the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning, will step into the top administrative role following the departure of current Superintendent Brad Crozier at the end of the current school year. She previously served as Principal of Sudbury’s Peter Noyes Elementary School for over two decades.
In their morning announcement, the SPS School Committee praised Doyle as an integral part of the district’s leadership team. Having worked with her over the past school year, the Committee highlighted her approachable nature, responsive communication, and deep commitment to academic excellence.
“She is approachable, responsive, and willing to engage in meaningful conversations about both the district’s strengths and the areas where continued growth is needed,” the Committee shared in their announcement.

“The Sudbury School Committee is pleased to share that Annette Doyle has officially accepted the role of Interim Superintendent of Sudbury Public Schools for the 2026–2027 school year.
Ms. Doyle currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning and has been an integral part of the district’s leadership team. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to public education, academic excellence, and collaborative leadership.
Over the course of this school year, the Committee has had the opportunity to work closely with Ms. Doyle and has been consistently impressed by her thoughtful communication, steady leadership, and commitment to supporting students, staff, and families. She is approachable, responsive, and willing to engage in meaningful conversations about both the district’s strengths and the areas where continued growth is needed.
Ms. Doyle’s leadership reflects the mission and values of Sudbury Public Schools. She believes deeply in ensuring all students are supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their intellectual and personal potential. Her work has consistently focused on strengthening teaching and learning, supporting educators, advancing inclusive practices, and creating school communities where students feel respected, valued, and connected.
In her role as Assistant Superintendent, Ms. Doyle has led important district work related to curriculum, instructional leadership, professional development, and student support initiatives. She brings valuable administrative experience, a strong understanding of the Sudbury Public Schools community, and a student-centered approach grounded in collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
The Committee is excited to continue working alongside Ms. Doyle in her new role and is confident in her ability to provide stability and thoughtful leadership during this transition period.
