The Sudbury Chamber of Commerce is calling on the community to help recognize the town’s most outstanding contributors by submitting nominations for their 2026 Community Awards.
The Chamber officially opened the nomination period this week, inviting all Sudbury residents and businesses to highlight local leaders whose civic, philanthropic, or professional efforts have significantly enhanced the quality of life in town.
Nominations are being accepted across four distinct categories:
- Citizen of the Year: “A Sudbury resident whose civic or philanthropic activities benefit our community and citizens. This recognition is open to people of all ages. (This person will also be our Parade Marshall for the 2027 4th of July Parade.)“
- Business of the Year: “A Sudbury business that exemplifies great corporate citizenship in our town.”
- Business Person of the Year: “An individual who demonstrates business acumen and innovation that contributes to the quality of this town.”
- Distinguished Service Award: “Individuals or member companies whose work as an active member of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and contributes to the community in a significant way.”
“Your nomination matters,” the Chamber noted. The final selections will be made at the discretion of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Residents looking to shine a spotlight on a deserving neighbor or favorite local business must submit their nominations by Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Submissions can be made directly through the Chamber’s official awards portal.
The chosen honorees will be officially celebrated at a special recognition event scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2026. Furthermore, all winners will be recognized in front of the wider community during the 2027 4th of July Parade, which is sponsored and produced annually by the Chamber.
