The Parmenter Foundation, a mainstay of the MetroWest nonprofit community, announced on Tuesday a significant expansion of its support network, awarding over $400,000 in grants to 23 programs dedicated to end-of-life care and bereavement services.
The 2026 grant cycle targets four critical areas: children’s bereavement, caregiver support, family loss, and hospice care. For Sudbury residents, the impact of these grants is felt through several locally based organizations and regional partners that serve as an area resource network for those navigating loss.
Among the recipients is Camp Casco, an organization headquartered right here in Sudbury. The foundation’s support will bolster Camp Casco’s mission to provide joyful summer camp experiences for children impacted by cancer.
Additionally, the grant funding ensures continued access to the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in neighboring Wayland. A long-term partner of the foundation, the Parlin House receives a subsidy to provide hospice beds for financially eligible patients, ensuring that high-quality, 24-hour residential care is accessible to families regardless of their financial situation.
“The Parmenter Foundation is committed to helping families cope, heal, and build resilience,” said Executive Director Angela Crocker. “This year’s grantees exemplify the impact high-quality programs can make when the support community comes together.”

To sustain these year-round grants, the foundation is turning toward its annual spring fundraiser. This year’s event, titled “Laughter, Love, and Loss: An Evening with Alyssa Limperis,” is scheduled for April 2, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Regis College Theater in Weston.
Limperis, a comedian known for her Peacock special “NO BAD DAYS,” will perform a standup set centered on her personal journey through grief. The evening will also feature a moderated discussion with Niro Feliciano, a best-selling author and regular contributor to the “TODAY Show.”
The Parmenter Foundation has contributed more than $4 million to MetroWest nonprofits since 2015.
