The Sudbury resident swim program at Camp Sewataro kicked off last week, but kicks into gear with swimming slots available to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this July 4th holiday weekend. Hours for swimming are 9:30-12:30 and 1:00-4:00 each day.
After the big holiday weekend, swimming will not be available on July 12 and 13, but the program will be open to swimmers on Saturdays and Sundays the rest of the summer season after that.
Swimming will take place at the upper pond, as it did last year. Residents will find handicap parking near the pond, with ample general parking provided from the Haynes Road entrance. The camp operator requests that swimmers bring their identification so that their staff can verify residency. Signups for swimming time slots will not be required this year, at least to start.

The pond features a shallow swim area, a deep swim area that requires youth to pass a swim test, and an adult only area.
Residents can familiarize themselves with the rules for the swimming program, which are found on the Town of Sudbury website here. Qualifying personal floatation devices are encouraged, adult supervision is required for swimmers under 16, while fireworks, pets, glass bottles and alcohol are prohibited.
