Sudbury Town Manager Andy Sheehan has been on quite a roll with union contracts since joining Sudbury. After inheriting and settling an unsettled firefighters collective bargaining agreement in the months after joining as Town Manager, Sheehan kept the dealmaking hot streak alive in 2024 and 2025.
In the latest development, the Town published an agreement with the Sudbury Association of Engineers, Architects and Draftsmen.
The agreement is effective from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027. The key provisions included salary schedule adjustments:
“Effective 7/1/24, all steps on the salary schedule shall be increased by three percent (3.0%);
Effective 7/1/25, all steps on the salary schedule shall be increased by two and one-half percent (2.5%);
Effective 7/1/26, all steps on the salary schedule shall be increased by two percent (2%)”
While the agreement was signed and executed on December 30, 2025, the document stipulates that the terms are tentative until the Select Board approves the agreement. That could come as soon as the January 6 meeting of the Select Board, though an agenda has not yet posted for that meeting.
