Update: the meeting was cancelled and a notice was sent out at 3:35 P.M. on February 26.
The Sudbury Public Schools (SPS) School Committee will hold an unexpected meeting tonight, Wednesday February 26, according to an agenda posted to the Town of Sudbury website yesterday, February 25.
The meeting is an executive session, unavailable to the public, and contains just two agenda items. The first is to review two Open Meeting Law (OML) complaints filed against the committee. The second is to review and approve minutes from a prior executive session.
One of the complaints was filed by the SPS School Committee Chair against the committee itself. The second was filed by a member of the public against the committee.
The agenda cites purpose number one from 10 permissible reasons to enter into executive session: “To discuss the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence, of an individual, or to discuss the discipline or dismissal of, or complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual.”
