In the early hours of Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the Sudbury Fire Department responded to an alert from a fire suppression system at the Lotus Blossom restaurant, located at 394 Boston Post Road (Route 20). According to a press release, the alert came in at approximately 12:47 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews reportedly observed smoke emanating from the rear of the building. They forced entry into the kitchen area, where active fire conditions were present. The firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze shortly thereafter. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Mutual aid was provided on-site by the Wayland and Framingham Fire Departments, while additional coverage for Sudbury was supplied by crews from Concord, Marlborough, and Maynard.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Sudbury Fire Department, in collaboration with the State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s office.
