Sudbury’s New City Microcreamery will be moving to Wayland next spring, and the Sudbury location will cease operations at the end of this month according to a Facebook post from the company.
The Hudson-based ice cream purveyor has operated the location in Sudbury for four years. Pete’s Coffee previously occupied their space in the Meadow Walk plaza on Boston Post Road.
The plaza has had fairly stable tenants over the years. Whole Foods anchors the plaza, and draws shoppers from in and around Sudbury. Meadow Walk is also somewhat of a food hub for Sudbury. A Mooyah Burgers, Fries & Shakes location has proven quite popular, along with The Farmer’s Daughter, an elevated breakfast and lunch destination. Most recently, Ramen Haven opened a location in the old Paani space in the center of the plaza.
The owners of Meadow Walk, National Development, have not announced a new tenant for the New City storefront as of the time this story was published.
