Sudbury’s Annual Town Meeting concluded on the evening of May 6, 2026. There were just three articles left to consider. Here’s how it shook out:
Article 37 — Community Preservation Act Fund: Reversion of Unspent Funds
This one was handled quickly, as it was just returning unspent funds from previously-approved Community Preservation Act projects. It passed 155-9.
Article 38 — Citizen’s Petition: 10 Year Plan to Fund & Construct Walkways
This was thoroughly debated in the hall, with much discussion of alternative funding sources and potential amendments. It ultimately failed 57-152.
Article 39 — Citizen’s Petition: Appropriation of Funds for the Repairing of Single-Family Homes
This one passed 145-69. Town Meeting was adjourned shortly thereafter.
If you haven’t had your fill of Town Meeting, there’s a Special Town Meeting scheduled for May 20. Details here.
